Bluescope is seeking a skilled Technical Support Analyst to join our team and assist in the maintenance of our software systems. As a Technical Support Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our software applications. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues, implement system enhancements, and optimize software performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and internal teams.
  • Monitor software systems, identify and diagnose technical issues, and implement timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with software developers and engineers to address and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Assist in the testing and deployment of software updates, patches, and enhancements.
  • Document and maintain technical support procedures, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide status updates, escalate issues when necessary, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements and optimizations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software maintenance and technical support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Support Analyst or similar role, with at least X years of experience in software system maintenance.
  • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting software and system issues.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and programming languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and system monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
