Export Data Processing and Reporting
Regulatory reporting of customer export data
Business Needs
The Export Data Processing and Monitoring System (EDPMS) is a tool designed to keep track of all the details involved in export transactions, including shipping bills, export payments, and related documents. Previously, the bank manually managed these records for customers using the trade backend system.
To streamline operations and reduce manual work in the back office, the objective is to create a new screen for customers. This screen will allow them to easily regularize shipping bills against an inward remittance. When customers submit transactions through this screen, it should trigger an event in trade backend systems after completing all necessary validations. This automation will enhance efficiency and accuracy in managing export transactions, benefiting both customers and the operations team.
Key Benefits
- Convenient Regularization: Customers can directly regularize their shipping bills through our online portal, eliminating the need for manual processing.
- Efficiency and Accuracy: An efficient system ensures a seamless experience, saving time and reducing the potential for errors.
- User-Friendly Platform: Manage shipping bills effortlessly from anywhere, at any time, with our user-friendly online platform.
Solution
EDPMS is integrated with the banking portal and trade backend system. Users seamlessly log into the corporate channel portal and navigate to Fingress when the Export Regularization menu is clicked.
Bills are fetched from the trade backend and import/export database for user selection. Single or multiple transactions are created in the trade backend based on the user’s selection of shipping bills. A response is received and displayed to the user when the transaction is completed in the trade backend.
