Bulk data processing with customer ERP file formats for finance and payments

Bulk data processing with customer ERP file formats for finance and payments

Problems and Needs

Corporates availing trade finance services from the bank are currently sending invoice files via manual upload and authorization. The existing method will be discontinued by the bank, necessitating the provision of an alternate platform for uploading files or sending via H2H (Host-to-Host) connection. As a solution, Bulk Upload functionality has been implemented.

Key Benefits

  • Efficient Processing: Instead of manually processing single invoices, a layout is configured according to the customer file, allowing bulk upload of invoices. The system processes all invoices swiftly and generates output reports for the uploaded invoices.
  • Streamlined Operations: Corporate users can upload files against the configured products and layouts. The system processes files based on predefined configurations and validations, ensuring efficient processing.
  • Enhanced Security: Files undergo validation checks, and only authorized files proceed for further processing, enhancing security and reducing the risk of errors.

Solution

The bank has implemented Fingress solutions in the net banking system to facilitate bulk uploading of invoices and payments via file upload. Key features of the solution include:

  • Layout Configuration: Provision to create and modify layouts available in the portal for operations users, enabling customization according to specific requirements.
  • File Processing: Corporate users upload files against configured products and layouts. The system processes files based on predefined configurations and validations. Files failing validations are not processed.
  • Authorization Workflow: Processed files are sent to the checker queue, based on the authorization matrix configured. Authorized files trigger the generation of a report for the uploaded invoices.
